How to Fix PLDT, Globe, and Converge LOS (Loss of Signal) Red Lights


What is LOS (Loss of Signal)

There are occasions when you will lose signal, regardless of your Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as PLDT, Globe, or Converge (LOS). If your modem is experiencing LOS, read the handbook to see which LED light is for the internet and is usually labeled as internet, LOS, or without a designation.

How do I get rid of the LOS Red Light on my modem

1. The first step in troubleshooting LOS is to restart or power cycle your modem or router. This technique resolves common network connection issues, and performing a power cycle is simple. Turning off your modem for at least 5 minutes is all that is required. Then, turn it back on and wait for the modem's LOS LED light indicator to connect to the network for a few minutes.

2. It is necessary to restart or power cycle the modem.
Restarting or power cycling your modem or router is the initial step in troubleshooting LOS. This method fixes frequent network connection problems, and executing a power cycle is easy. All you have to do is turn off your modem for at least 5 minutes. Then, after a few minutes, turn it back on and wait for the modem's LOS LED light indicator to connect to the network.

3. If your modem manual includes a firmware upgrade, you can use it to resolve and prevent modem issues. To do so, simply follow the directions in the modem's handbook. However, doing a firmware update is crucial because if done incorrectly, it can destroy the modem.

4. If all else fails, contact your ISP's customer care department. You can precisely detect what causes LOS on your modem this way, and the CRS will do a line test to tell you of your network condition. The CRS will send a repair request to rectify the problem once the cause of LOS has been identified.
